True Worship of a False God

Over the course of his lifetime, every man will have the profound experience that he is truly, and very physically, lost. Whether he has followed poor directions well, has followed good directions poorly, or has failed to ask for directions in the first place is irrelevant. He will have to face the inescapable conclusion that he arrived in a place he never intended to be. It was at the very moment of recognition that he was given two choices. He could either acknowledge his current predicament and ask for directions to get back on track, or he can bury his head in the sand and continue to wander aimlessly, hoping the situation will work itself out. Sadly, we men have largely become identified by the latter.
